After he train arrived in Seattle I was considering taking a day off to do nothing. Went to the hostel I had previously stayed at but found that it had no free beds so decided to catch the bus to Port Angeles as I had originally planned. Probably lucky not to find a bed since I would have lost a day if I had and I may not of had as much luck as I did getting a ride in/out of my first hike.

Prior to heading to the bus station decided t head to a Starbucks and us the laptop (which I was lugging around while hiking) to check emails and let my brother no I had exted one National Park and was heading into another. Caught the dungenous bus which thankfully has a direct link from seattle to Port Angeles via the Edmond ferry.

Tried to get a bed in the cheap hostel I ha found on the internet but found out that the place was full. Originally considered going to an RV park and pitching my tent but when I arrived there was no one in the office. Considered pitching a tent and then paying anyway but it really was an RC Park. Most sites had very little grass and the best bits of grass around were between sites. Without someone to ask were I could pitch the tent and the fact that most of the residence seemed like long term residences (not sure about leaving my bags) decided against pitching the tent.

Was wondering about sleeping on the street but given I had my backpack and would have to lug it around to the vistor centre and around town, decided against it. Luckily had picked up a brochure on the ferry that listed the motels around town along with their rates. Wasnt sure what min and max meant (season or prices) initially but found out that the min price listed was for a single occupancy.

At $49 its about $14 more than the max Ive paid for a hostel but it had a TV, WIFI, on-suite bathroom and 2 queen size beds. In the end happy I got the room since its been a while since I've had a room to myself.

Bought a few supplies and didnt do much else besides buy some dinner.
