We left our hotel in BEAUTIFUL Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee. Then we went to the Mount of Beatitudes and we stood were Jesus would have stood in the Matthew 5:1. We then went to Tabgha, which is a german church on the sea of Galilee, we were supposed to get baptized in the Jordan River but we scheduled that for tomorrow..., then we went the Church of the primacy of Peter which is a church dedicated to Saint Peter and how Jesus was to build his church upon Peter as His "rock." This was the place where we were allowed to touch the water of the Sea of Galilee. We also went to Capernum which has ruins of a home that is believed to be the home of Simon Peter, and had the ruins of the synagogue of Capernum where Jesus preached and healed many times. Then we ate lunch at this very authentic Israeli restaurant where we ate "The fish of Saint Peter" which was probably the meal that Jesus ate everyday which is really neat. Then we went on a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee and turned off the engines and just had a moment of silence and imagined that we were floating were Jesus and his Disciples used to fish and where Jesus walked on the water. It was just amazing to see to see it because now when I read stories of things that have happened in and on the Sea of Galilee, I can put a picture to what I'm reading, THE picture of what I would be reading about, it is just an amazing feeling... When we got to the other side we went to a museum with a "Jesus Boat" which was a fishing boat that has been carbon dated back to the time of Jesus. We went into the gift shop for the museum which had a lot of cool things and the people were EXCELLENT salespeople, my mom bought a bunch of stuff and was drawn back in was convinced to buy even more stuff, it was hilarious. Oh, and this one lady saw me and Mrs. Angie talking and she started talking about how much her "son" looks like her, hahaha and we were going to tell her that we are just good family friends but she just kept going on and on about it but we eventually told her and then she just said that i have her personality hahaha. After that we went to a place that cuts and polishes diamonds and other jewels. My mom met a ex-soviet, and now Israeli Jewish woman who was trying to get my mom to buy more and more hahaha but she got two beautiful rings and a set of earings and made a new friendship with the russian saleswoman (who was also a very good salesperson hahah) and now we are at our hotel after our very long day but very great and amazing day. Looking forward to being baptized in the Jordan River and having a great time touring. =] Love all of y'all hope everything is going well in America =D
