Me and Mike drove to Sweetwater on Sunday and it took us just over 3 hours which wasn't bad.

I have to admit I was excited like a little kid because I had been to Sweetwater last year and the families that I met and stayed with were amazing and I had a great time. I was to be staying with the same family this year "The McColloms" and they are so nice. We got on really well last year. Jeremy was the Dad, Stacey the Mom lol, and 2 kids Annisa and Makee (think I spelt them both wrong)

The other family that I got close with was "The Loeza's". Sergio was the Dad Vanessa the Mom and Daniella and Antonio were the kids. Both families are so kind and caring and they really did again make us feel welcome from the moment we walked through Stacey's door at 6pm Sunday evening. We sat down and had a nice Mexican meal, Fajitas which was amazing as all the meat was perfectly cooked by jeremy on the BBQ outside. Myself, Gail and Aled had been to Sweetwater the previous year but Mike hadn't. Me and Aled were staying with Stacey and Jeremy and Gail and Mike were staying with Vanessa and Sergio.

During our meal we remenissed about last year and we all knew that the week was going to be amazing again, it felt like we had never left even though a year had past. We all finsihed up food and hit the hay as Monday mornings are a bit hectic so we had an earlyish night. We had decided that night that we were all to wrok the mornings but only 2 of us were needed each night so we would split it up. Myself and Aled would do Mon, Wed's, Fri and Mike and Gail would do Tues and Fri.

Camp last year was good and this year was no exception, there were about 30 kids less over the whole day but this didn't matter. My favourite kid that I have coached ever was in the evening camp his name was "Trey" or "Treyman" or "Treydog" lol! He made my day, he is such a character and really did have me in tears of laughter every evening! I have some pics with him he's so cool!

One day from camp we all went for food at a legendary restaurant, this place serves and has served the same food for over 40 years. All day everyday they serve Fried chicken, green beans, Ocre (look it up it's a weird Vegetable), creamed corn, boiled pototoes, roast beef and some coleslaw. Also put on the table with all of this is Peach cobbler, which is a nice dessert. You just walk in this cabin shaped building sit down and 2/3 minutes later all this food is on the table, if you want more they say just "Holla" and we'll bring "Y'all" more :). The food is good, we went there last year, the people there are really nice.

One we relaxed at the local city pool, it was nice and cold which was good because most of the week it was 100 degrees or more. Another day Jeremy my host dad had arranged for us to drive to one of his friends houses, which had a lot of land, to go shooting! Yee ha! Jeremy took about 6 guns, some pistols and some bigger louder guns. Alan and Ethel owened the house and the land, they rented most of the land out to companies who planted cotton fields. Natural cotton was floating around everywhere.

Ethel and Alan were so nice, they set up chairs and table for us and got a cooler with drinks in for us. We set up some tin cans in the field and got our shoot on. We all used the quiet pistols and stupidly I used a loud one! It was a shocker my ear was buzzing for like 2 minutes after (i have a video of me shooting that gun and it's good.) The day was a great day we all had a great time and once again people I had never met in my life before let me onto their land and treated me like they had know me all there life, Americans really are great people.

The week as a whole flew by because we all just had a great time, in between camps we would chill at sergios house he has a Nintendo Wii. It has guitar hero and Mario kart so that entertained us alot. The kids were great, the one night the kids had a boxing match against Aled it was quality I have that on video too (watch the 2 girls fighting and watch the big punch they both give each other, Quality!)

Before we knew it, it was friday. We decided to go to the only bar in town for a few beers. This place is only open till 12pm and we got there at 10:30pm so the plan was to head back to Sergios after the place closed. We all had a fair few beers and got Merry and pretty much just toasted the evening to great friendship and a great week. It was a bit sad because we knew the next day Saturday we were leaving at 3pm to go to Dallas. We wanted to stop at a Mall on the way back for a bit.

We all ended up calling it a night at about 2:30am it was a great end to a great week. The hard thing was that on the Friday I had already said goodbye to Stacey because she had a softball tournament to go to with Annisa! Last year she cried when we said goodbye and this year she said "hey this time you say goodbye so I won't cry" 2 seconds later she's crying. We get on so well and she enjoys the week of camo every year and she really is an amazing person she just hates goodbyes and so do I.

The next day we would be moving on again, at the moment It is like being the "littlest Hobo" ha ha! Anyway love you all and miss you lot's! Hope your still enjoying reading my blog!
