Saturday got up about 9am and said goodbye to The Krausers and had a few photo's taken, Then myself and Gail went to my bosses office to collect balls, t-shirts and pack for the next camp. By the time he'd given us everything we need it was 10:30am.

We set off on a 8 hour jorney and boy was it hot. I drove first for about 3 hours and then we stopped at an Applebee's for some food. Once our belly's were full Gail got in the drivers seat and we were on our way again, we still had 100 miles left on the once road before we started our 200 miles on another highway.

We got to Denham Springs, Louisiana about 7:30pm just in time for Gary (my matey) to give us our VIP pass for the MMA (mixed martial arts) show that was being held at the parks where he works. It was a great evening we saw 5 MMA fights and 4 boxing fights. I managed to have a beer even though my throat was feeling like it had been sliced at the back by someone. The night was amazing even though I nearly put my car in a ditch outside with some dodgy parking ha!ha!

So with us having made the jorunery on saturday we had sunday to chill. We went to the mall and watched a movie called "The Proposal" it was good, it had Sandra Bullock in and she is still so hot! We went from the movie to watch the girls we were to be coaching play in a 7 v 7 game. They won 5-3 which was nice but they should of won 10-3, coach adam wasn't happy lol!

Me and Gary have visited the Hooters establishment a few times and we also went to Transformers 2 which is very good.

Camp for the week was only scheduled for 4:30-7:30pm every evening. Monday went well and tuesday was the same and then Wednesday we had a big storm so practice was cancelled. The fields did need the rain though because they were like a rock. Thursday was our best session the girls had really picked up what we were coaching them, it was a pleasure to watch them play a game at the end. Friday (today) we are doing two sessions to make up for missing Wednesday, this morning was really warm but the girls worked hard. Tonight will be tough for them as it's getting hotter. I will update this later to tell ya how they did in the evening session.

Happy reading x

The evening session went very well all girls worked hard and showed that they have learnt alot this week. We let them play a few fun games as they had worked so hard, in the pictures you'll see them playing a game called Capture the flag, amazing game and they always love it. We finished up camp and said our goodbyes just before a bit of rain was due to come into town.

I rushed home from camp because I was meeting up with someone I met randomly on a flight from Baton Rouge to Dallas last October. Her name is Dana and she is really cool, we met up for some food at an Italian and it was great to see her. I did take 45 mins to do a 15 minute drive but this was due to an honest mistake. I was meeting Dana at Baton Rouge so when I hit a part of the motorway that said left Baton Rouge or right New Orleans I of course took the Baton Rouge option, however I needed to take the New Orleans option even though I was going to Baton Rouge (stupidly confusing right??) Anyway I got there and we had some good food and caught up on what had happened in each others lifes since we met in October. Dana has recently moved to Louisiana from Indiana so is just finding her feet here. After food we had a drive round and she showed me a few cool places. All in all was a great night :)

Today I had a day off. Didn't really know what I was gonna do but I had a much needed lie in. Ended up going putting up "Soccer" sign up signs with Gary (actually I sat in the truck whilst Gary did this). Then went and got a smoothie and headed back to the house checked email and fell asleep - tough day I hear you say- I would completely disagree ha ha! It came to 5:00pm and i had just watched Andy Murray ease is way into the next round and Gary suggested we play some mini golf or "putt putt" as theycall it. Game on "Celebration Station" in Baton Rouge is a great place to play mini golf. We both wanted to have a warm up game before the middle of July because that's when we do the "Denham Springs" Ryder Cup- British Coaches V The American Host families. This has been held for the last 4 years and it's currently 2-2, Gary has ordered T-shirts this year for the event and they look good. Chip Lovett one of the host Dads has even bought a new putter for this year.

Unfortunately Gary handed my @ss to me in the game. We had a pre game bet that the loser would by Dinner so we headed to A mexican restaraunt where I purchased our food (see pics of happiness and dissapointment, also see me with Bill and Gary with munch in his mouth). When we got home we decided that a night game of mini golf would be good so we grabbed the kids and went back to "celebration station". We played the easy course earlier so this time we decided the play the moderate course, I spanked Gary as his night vision wasn't all that and mine was, this levelled it at 1-1 so we played the tough course and yet again I whooped him, so now we were at 2-1 to me. He was buying lunch tommorow-result! It was 11:30pm and place closes at 12:00pm so we thought sod it one more game. Surprise surprise jammy Gary won, so we are at 2-2 and if you look at pictures that is Gary's yellow ball in my mouth ha ha! We had a great day/night. I will be enjoying my free lunch tommorow (always tastes better when someone else pays for it).

Love to all

Adam xx
