Unfortunately Liam and I could have not timed it worse! My good friend Georgios that lives in Crete (who I worked with in Scotland), had got married 3 weeks prior to our arrival and was at the hospital awaiting the birth of his first born as I had called him when we arrived in his town...wow, super timing Adam!

Nonetheless, we gave Georgios and his wife their space and literally took the time to relax and catch up on a few things. We were imersed with the best 'Pita Gyros' ever - esentially a kebab with fries only Greek style! It's ground breaking to say the least..

The weather wasn't brilliant but the Greek girls made up for it! The local men had no idea how lucky they are...it's as if they have their own little world down on Crete!

Although Georgios owns his own hotel, we stayed in town with another 'Georgios' - ironically! Very clean, central and what a bloke! Our morning wake up call screaming..'HELLO LIAM, HELLO ADAM!' Of which he never got it around the right way...what a legend!

3 nights in Crete was great, we wished Georgios all the best with his wife and baby and pushed on to Athens to begin our journey north..
