After 10 hours on the overnight bus from London to Perth, I figured I should 'refresh' myself in Perths' Costa coffee before my 40 minute bus ride to Crieff fro my working interview. After the thoughts of 'how have I ended up in the middle of Scotland' were over, I found myself at the hotel looking rather tired and miserable where I first was introduced to Fredrik (Food and Beverage Operations Manager). After a quick introduction, a working interview the next day, I was officially employed and little Crieff would become home for me. In Crieff, it could be as cold as -14 degrees in the winter, and only 25 in summer, I would meet some amazing people and have some fantastic times. The hotel itself was over 300 rooms with a maximum occupancy of approx 700people at anyone time. With the largest childcare facility adjoined to a hotel in the UK and one of the largest leisure facilities for a hotel, I was able to learn an awful lot. My position of Food and Beverage Trainee Manager consisted of roles including Assistant Events Manager, Hotel Duty Manager, Gold Clubhouse Manager and other projects including cafes, restaurants, marketing and advertising; an experience I will never forget!
