hello there everyone!!! just addinga quicknotefrom Puno on the shores of lake titticaca (the peru side)... have left adam in the hostel cos his knee was gioving him trouble, and gone exploring (had to promisewould not get kidnapped... hostel owner assured me area is safe)... am in a crazy little internet cafe where the spacebar does not seemtoworktoowell.
Today we woke up in cucso at about 6amand thought... we´re sick of cusco!...lets jump on that train to Puno... we had been planning to catch the bus, but we spent all day yesterdayon a bus tour of the sacred valley and that reminded us of how crappy buses are... the train ride wasgreat!...took ten hours (bus would have taken 5) but was verynice.... trundling alongat about 50k an hour first through the andes, then ascending slowly tohigheraltitude andfinally through a dramatic lightening stormthen tolake titticaca. just got here a bit overanhourago... was so funny when we walked outthe trainstation gates about 20 hostel owners and travel agentsjumped onus at once, it was such a full on attack directed mainly at me that i justscreamed!!! ahhhhhhh!!!! cos it is becoming really full on being harrassed everywhere wego!!!! (they all laughed but did notback off). anyway, have already booked bus tickets for first thing tomorrow morning to go to copacabana... on the bolivian side of lake titticaca. puno is a bitof a tourist stop and most people do a tout of the floating islands, which are made entirely out of reeds... but to be honest that sounds a bit dull so we´reskipping it. done with peru... onto bolivia!!!

Kewl...
Hiya. The 10 hour train ride sounds a little intense...was it comfy? Was there masses of people and screaming babies who spit at you? Or was it ok ?What did you do about the attack of the hotel salespeople? I'm sure you already know, but it's always the best thing to do to run away and then head straight towards a hotel you got out of a lonely planet guide. Never go with one of those people - their hotels are crap which is why they have to flog them so desperately.

Things are a bit intense at work today. Tessa's parents just split up, and she's crying all over the place and everyone feels very awkward.

Be safe. Love you's.

Anna.

Re: Kewl...
Hey anky! good to hear from you :) yeh the train ride was lovely, not at all full so we had two facing seats with a table in between on which to eat our 3 course meal (for $10) and to play all the card games we could think of... no masses of people and screaming, spitting babies thankfully (remind me not to catch the train in china!)
poor tessa :(
write again soon! love eve
