We bump into our friend Nancy over and over, just so ramdomly. This makes me feel the world sometimes is so small, and reminds me of the almost magical relationship between strangers that we experience as we travel as people move into and out of our lives. There are so many people in the world that you will never meet and never know yet there are just a few playing such important roles in our lives.
Compared to the rest of Cambodia, those huge, bright streets in Phnom Penh are beautiful. I can barely smell the bloody slougheer of 30 years ago, when the city was forcibly evacuated by the Khmer Rouge.
It's so challenging to cross the street-- you need four eyes to pay attintion to the crazy road conditions and drivers.
