Hello everyone! I decided to make a blog documenting my stay in China, from beginning to end. That way everyone can keep caught up with all of my shenanigans in my new home. This should be quite the experience and I can't wait to share it with all of you!

24 hours from now I will be in the Dayton International Airport on my way to Daqing, China. I'm not really looking forward to the 24-hour flight time I have ahead of me (coach, by the way!). The nervous bugs are finally kicking in as well. I have no idea what to expect or what adventures await me from when I first land in the Beijing airport to all of the things I am about to experience in the next year. I just hope I can get some sleep tonight!

I have to train to be a teacher first, although I'm not sure how long the training actually is. Lucky for me, I already know someone in China that has been teaching at the same school I am going to be teaching at, so he can help show me the ropes and get me on my feet. I am in for quite the culture shock, so I've been told.

Although I'm super nervous, I am looking forward to this opportunity and I am going to make the best of it. Who knows, maybe I will like the job so much I end up staying in China for longer than a year, but that is jumping ahead of things :) I will update this blog as soon as I can when I arrive in China! I will leave you with my flight itenerary.

Depart 9:05AM - Dallas/Ft Worth, TX Airport to
Arrive 11:15AM - Seattle/Tacoma, WA Airport

Arrive 4:00PM (Next Day) - Beijing, China Airport
Depart 5:25PM - Beijing, China Airport to
Arrive 7:15PM - Daqing, China Airport
