We are beginning to realize that extended travel is kind of like the mythological ideal mate.

You know;  when you find yourself in that routine familiar relationship you always yearned for when you were single, your brain starts to conjure up this ideal unflawed character who will wait on you hand and foot. He / She never complains, accepts you for your slovenly self, runs a million miles a day, cooks a storm, looks amazing, makes millions and loves all of your friends.

So you abandon your great situation for the prospect of an even greater one. All of a sudden you realize:

A) Your previous situation was amazing and you miss it terribly

B) That the alternative wasn't as rosy as you pictured it.

It is not that either of us are upset that we are blessed enough to be on the road experiencing so many different people, places and cultures! Instead it is amazing to believe that our greatest discovery so far has not been Prague Castle or the Istanbul Topkapi Palace of the Sultans, but rather that ours lives, friends and family in Tampa beat any alternative out there! Miss you guys! (that's why we keep calling, writing and emailing!)
