The city is a pretty compressed circle that houses tons of museums, the impressive Belvedere Palace (check out the breathing palace clip!), riding stables, high end fashion and just tons of ridiculously over the top structures. The city is a contender with Paris for who's got the laciest underpants.
After taking a spin in the city the first night, we ate some of the best damn Indian food I've ever had( Check out Indus). Let's just say the mango lassi was so good Adam suggested he would do suspect things for one more glass of the sweet nectar!
With Laura picking out the room this time, we stayed at the Renaissance's Imperial Riding School of Vienna (no, I am not shitting you). Definitely a minor come up from my flat in Budapest's red light district!
When we woke up on the 4th, we chose to split up from Lili and Federico and went to the Leopold Museum (after getting lost on the tram in Vienna for a while). I highly, highly, highly recommend this museum. In short it manages to take art from the 17th, 18th and early 19th century and frame it in such a way that you feel like the art could have been produced last week. All the pieces were truly timeless!
Egon Shiele or F. Mozer were definitely my faves. Among the collection was Munch's lithograph of 'The Scream' (the original was housed in Amsterdam, but was stolen a couple years back) as well as some great works from Gustav Klimt.
After hitting up the museum, we headed to the Belvedere Palace there we saw Klimt's "The Kiss" among other great works. The palace was absolutely beautiful (the upper that is, we din#t have enought time for both!). I definitely recommend it since it is near the city center.
Once we left the Belvedere, we got lost on the metro for an hour and by the kindness of a stranger, finally found our way home.

Oh my... Vienna sounds wonderful! I absolutely want to go! I've been to Salzburg, which was beautiful, but Vienna is still on my destination list. I'm glad you had such a nice time! Love reading your travel reports... :)
