An early morning is required in order to avoid some of the crowds visiting the number one visited place in Prague, The Castle . First stop our beloved Cathedral, a must see for sure! Once you step inside and take a look around you realize the centuries of work required to create the monument that this place is today.

Each little corner has meaning and significance in the history of this ancient jewel. The structure is made up of several individually enclosed chapels, each devoted to different divine individuals, each on the foreground of a unique stained glass window. My favorite was the Art Nouvau inspired glass designed by Alfons Mucha, found in pictures, close runner-up was a massive silver grave that has to be seen to believed.

Every turn reveals the meticulous detail involved in orchestrating this magnificent edifice. It takes a while to get through the Cathedral (especially with the multitude of people and Adam shooting video of every detail) and we still have five more buildings to see!

The rest of the afternoon flies by trying to hit all of the additional elements of the Prague Castle including a hall devoted to displaying an impressive collection of medieval armors, weapons and tools of torture. Adam was like a kid in a candy store and he respectively shot footage in honor of his future brother- in-law, who we both know would truly enjoy this. We sneak just a few pictures in between  :  )

The daylight is gone, but we try to hit a couple of more sights, so we head into the old city square and climb up the legendary Prague clock tower to snag some night shots of the beautiful city. As we make it down the stairs, we realize it's 10 til 5:00 and we're in front of the clock with thousands of others waiting for it to ring. At 5:00 the clock begins it's hourly ritual and little saints come out of it's interior to signal the strike of the hour. Wait for it, wait for it… it rings, people clap and yell, then it's over. Pretty anti-climatic if you ask me!

Finally, we sneak into a small café nearby for a delicious meal before turning in for the night.
