Hello Everyone!

As usual, traveling across the Atlantic sucked!!!! You get no sleep, a shotty microwave dinner and craptastic B movies. Fortunately for me, Legally Blond 2 was playing while I fell into the 2 hours of sleep that I secured for the night.

Arriving to Frankfurt wasn't too bad. Our bags were the first ones off of the conveyor belt and I didn't even see an immigration officer. The trains however were nothing like I expected. Though very punctual, we found our 70 Euro reservations to get us "any open spot you can find" instead of the luxury seats that we had reserved. Lucky for me, we found a spot near each other. I have posted a video when we were traveling on the train below (video 1).

Once we arrived at Koln (Cologne) things got way, WAY better! Tatis's boyfriend Niko was the shit and all of his friends were more than gracious! Koln was a truly awesome place with the magnificent Don church (one of the greatest structures to survive the second world war).

After dropping our backpacks off at Niko's, we went Christmas shopping at the local Christmas markets and drank hot wine pronounced gluben wine on the street. The weather was bitter cold at 1 degree above freezing. Luckily, we packed tons of warm gear to get us through the trip.

Later in the evening, we met up with friends and had a great homecoming walk to a couple of local bars. Niko's crew was a ton of fun and we ended up at a wonderful jazz bar that Tatis sang at as it got later in the night.

If the trip is going to continue to be this great, I am really in for something special!

Well, until tomorrow take care!!
