We hiked 3 hours along the railroad tracks until we reached Mandor Gardens. A stray dog accompanied us. The dogs live among the community here, walking the streets freely. They know to stay out of the street when vehicles are coming & going. The driving is bazaar here, by the way. They seem to have their little packs or buddies for socializing & they know not to enter the shops & restaurants.
The gardens were beautiful. We began the ascent up to the falls with all the plants along the way. We reached one set of high narrow falls before getting to Mandor Falls. Mandor Falls is not that tall, but the volume is good.
The 3-hrs hike back down caused a knee injury to rear its ugly head...ouch! So we made it back to town & caught the train back to the Urabamba Valley & arrived at Willka T'ika, a wonderful resort in the Sacred Valley with vegetarian gardens & 7 chakra gardens. We get to eat the organic vegetarian cuisine for breakfast & dinner. More pics of this Willka T'ika later....
