Hiya all,

It's been a while since my last entry but I have been so so so busy. Next stop was Manchester!!

I woke up bright and early on Monday morning and got ready to leave for the wonderful city of Manchester.  I walked with Joel to the station in the morning, waiting for the Dry Cleaner to open.  Bloody Indian dry cleaners -they were always going to be late.

Took to Tube to Oxford Circus - Nice lovely trip and then took the Jubilee Line to Victoria (which I found out later a student was killed that night in rush hour....nice !!)  Took the Gatwick express to Gatwick - Nice trip and quite cheap.  Once I got to Gatwick I could not find my plane and was starting to panic......little did I know that there were 2 terminals and I had to get to the other one :)

That was ok....it was a 10 minute bus ride and since I always use Gem and Joel's 3 hour rule - I got there with heaps of time.  I don’t know if it’s just me but to get through security at an Airport other than Heathrow is quite hard.  Got through finally and was glad to find out that Gatwick does have a BA Lounge...........ahhh  Bloody Mary's :)  again I will never not have a Lounge pass.

The Plane trip was great...out of the whole plane I was seated in a row of three with no one next to me.  So for the first time in a long time I actually sat at the window...was great...Now because BA was on strike I actually flew Ryan Air....now the plane trip is 45 minutes and during that time we were given food and booze....I don’t know how they did it but they did.

Got to Manchester (was quite cold) took the Metro to Piccadilly and then took a cab to the Hotel....which ended up being just 3 corners away and a 2 pound trip (I felt like a dill, ended up giving the driver a fiver !!).

The hotel was amazing........and when I mean amazing...it was awesome.  They upgraded me for free and my room had the biggest bath you could ever imagine.  You could actually fit 3 people in it.  I unloaded my suitcase and headed off to my street.  CANAL STREET!!

Went to most of the clubs and pubs on the street and precinct.  Such an amazing gay precinct!!  Hot guys everywhere and more importantly, really nice people.  After a few ales I decided to go and visit the whole precint...was good but i was quite tired and went home for a few private ales in my room

Tuesday

The next morning I woke up late (8.00pm) and decided it was the day to go to MUFC.  The metro took me straight to the ground....walked past Cricket’s Old Trafford.  Once at the stadium I was taken aback with how huge the ground was.  If only Perth could have something like this.  The tour and museum was tremendous (thank you Addy for the heads up).  On the way home decided to stop off a few stops before I had too.  Ended up walking around the city.  I was really taken back by how nice the city is...the architecture is amazing....St Pauls, G-Max and Piccadilly Gardens.  Really felt safe around the city and again the people were so friendly. I want to move here

Went to the pub for lunch – and then went back to the hotel for a nanna nap.  After this I went out clubbing.....Now this was amazing.  Met a really nice guy, Michael (a gay hairdresser – who would have thought) and his sister and we partied on for a while.  I then went to Poptastic where this was the most amazing club and so so so so so many people.  Enjoyed every moment and got to meet some really interesting people.  Could not understand the Manchester accent but they loved the Aussie one....all they wanted to know was if I knew anyone from Neighbours !!

Wednesday

I went to the Trafford Centre – Now this is a shopping centre that has 300 or so shops.  I spent 4 hours walking around and didn’t even buy 1 thing.  Was great though...I can tell you that there is everything in this shopping centre.  Decided on the way back that I would stop off at my Favourite Pub (Queer on Canal) for a bit of lunch.

This turned out to be one of the best ideas I had.  I was able to meet two fantastic people.  Jordan and Sabrina.  I could write for ages what happened but I won’t....all I remember was laughing so so so hard.  Great memories if you’re reading this guys J

That night I went out clubbing again...watched the football on tele and got talking to the bar tender.  Was very good – It becomes a bit hazy after that...think the bartender gave me a few free drinks.....i did get back to the hotel and knew i needed to get up early cause i had a plane to catch.

Woke up in the morning not feeling the best but had breakfast and was lucky enough that my friend from yesterday Jordan came to see me off.  The biggest stereo system i have ever seen J.  I went off to the Airport and it was the BA lounge again and off home to London.

Absolutely loved Manchester !!!!
