Emily and I are in Athens and catch a really early ferry tomorrow for santorini. Emily got here yesterday and we went to the top of the acrolpolis to see the parthenon. It is really hot here, highs in the upper 90s with not much breeze. After that we wet back to the hostel to cool off and then we out again to see zeus' temple, or what's left of it. It used to be he largest temple but now it is only about ten columns with a few knocked down. We walked through the royal gardens and then had tasty Greek food the dinner...you cancer gyros so cheap here! I love them! Wednesday we went to cape sounion after booking our santorini ferry and hostal. We caught a bus and got off by Poseidons temple. We walked down a hill to the small beach, it had a gret view of the temple, very cool! The water is still cool, but it's so hot that it feels great. We had an awesome day of sunbathing and swimming around. Of course we both slept on the bus ride there and back, it was about 2 hours each way. We walked around in the main square by the hostel, you can see the parthenon from everywhere, looks awesome a night when it's lit up. Got some Greek sandles, all the rage here and some postcards for home. Ice cream for dinner then packing and showering tomorrow. Have met lots of people, rooftop bar has view and a happy hour so I was there my first 2 nights. Still really hot at night, not always a breeze. Our ferry leaves at 730 so it will be a long day, I think we are taking a night ferry on the way back. Nor sure when this will send, although I think we have wifi on the island, but no idea. Not much time to write about the island of Sanorini, in a word we loved it! We went out and explored all sorts of beaches, I think I got pictures up of everywhere we went. We will have to tell more when we see you!
