My dad had decided to accompany us to Spain for a few reasons.  I suppose he wanted to spend more time with us and practice his Spanish that he has been learning for the last few years.  The plan was that he was to find us somewhere to go and then Jim and I would stay a few nights and then leave the boys with him and go somewhere, just the two of us.  So he found a little town outside of Barcelona and Jim and I decided to take the train half an hour back to Barcelona for four nights.

The town was called Sitges and it really was a nice beach town - if only the weather had been a little warmer for swimming in the Mediterranean!  However, the boys had a great time with their grandpa.  They used bikes to get around, finding a cafe with wifi where they connected with friends and played their games.  The apartment had a pool, but it wasn't heated to the boys dismay, so it was pretty chilly the few times Jim and the boys braved the water.  Sitges had some great restaurants!  In fact, the first place we ate had a three course meal, including a bottle of wine for only ten Euros each!  Salad, seafood paella and dessert! The boys spent loads of time at the beach playing in the sand! I know they had a great time getting away from us and what better way to do it then being with their grandpa! Keep an eye on the boys' blogs for more about their week in Sitges!
