It has been a very long time since I last blogged, but I feel like I owe it to myself to complete my blog for my long adventure.

We arrived in Shimla after another long bus trip. The bus station was a couple miles on the outskirts of the city, so we needed to catch another local bus to get us closer to the centre. We were aiming to find the local YMCA.

The local bus stop was at the bottom of the city sprawled across a mountain side. One has to wind there way through small passageways, through little markets and shops. On our way touring the labyrinth of pathways, we encounter a funeral procession. We take some time to pay our respects and move on.

The YMCA was at the top of the hill very close to the Christ Church. We managed to get a private room for a couple of nights. The YMCA is expensive but Shimla is a very popular tourist destination for Indian people too.

The city was interesting, we enjoyed lots of local food and a very large dosa too. Lots of wild monkeys would wander along the paths and the views of the surrounding hills were breathtaking.
