I enjoyed my time at the Shakespeare Festival in Bloomington.  I was very intrigued at the use of cast in this production.  The paint job on the spirits was amazing and they played them perfectly.  As usual, Shakespeare did a wonderful job.

Even though this play was one of the harder ones of Shakespeare's to understand, it was still a wonderful piece.  The use of body art and the language of the actors was what really brought the characters to life.  As they went about the stage, they used wide gestures and did a wonderful job using what they were given to bring The Tempest to the audience.

I think that the text affected me in different ways.  It was a happy ending, which was unexpected, yet still had all the aspects of a play to keep the audience (most of them) occupied with watching.  The actors were humorous, which I do not think Shakespeare meant in this play, but it made it fun to watch the difference we go through in time.  I think that the way the actors used the stage was great.  They used what they had and brought the entire place to life, making you feel like you were on the island with them.  I think that you need an imagination to watch a play to begin with, but the way the actors acted was enough to give the audience the idea they were getting across, even if they could not understand what they were saying.
