Day 3 -  We again took a short 3 hour tour to enjoy various other points. This time in the morning after breakfast. This mostly covered the Echo point, Kate's point etc. The valley views offered were fanstastic. This is very recommended and a must see. We also went to the Arthur lake but desisted from any boating activities since it was very hot. I would not recommend boating in the lake as a 'must-do'. This is quite a bit of rush and there is nothing really extra special about this place.

We then returned to the hotel and settled for some terrific lunch.

Taxi tours are popular and a recommended way to sight see.And I reiterate again, please do not drive your own car to roam around. The roads are very narrow and the government will not widen them to protect this eco-sensitive area. Turns are sharp and large tour buses also ply on these roads.
A trip to Pratapgarh fort is also worth it. Although we did skip it.

The resort has a spa and treatments are by appointment. A bit on the expensive side but worth the buck. The spa is located in a heavily wooded area of the resort and the entrace almost seems invisible due to the dim light as a result of the dense foliage.

The resort also arranges for private candle-lit dinners in this part of the resort. One needs to pre-book it. This is a nice way to spend a romantic evening in Mahabaleshwar.

If time permits, it would be a good idea to sightsee in Panchgani. There is a flat table land offering 360 degree views of the valley. We drove across one of the smaller table lands and parked our our right in the center. There was a lone make shift shop in the center of this land selling ice-creams and camel rides. Weird combination. We also saw a bird kind of stationery in the air with its wings spread. There is also an option to camp in Panchgani. Para gliding options are available too.
You can also visit 'Sherbaug' - a theme park and the various other view-points.The cab tours do offer options to see Panchgani. Although this is a place you would rather see by your own car. The roads are not as difficult to navigate as the roads in Mahabaleshwar.

This thus signs off a memorable tour of Mahabaleshwar, a nice romantic little place.
