The second country in Central America on our list was Honduras and this was primarily to go to Utila for our Open Water Diving License. Utila has the second largest reef in the world (after the Great Barrier off course and it is the cheapest place in the world to get your license). This was amazing, so much fun. The coarse took four days, but we ended up staying for about a week, as it was just so much fun on the Island. We pretty much spent most of our time at the dive cent re, in the water and on the boats. The people there were wonderful, it was one of those places were people come for a week and are still there two years later. The diving was fantastic too, it is really addictive and quickly becoming one of my favorite sports. It was a little bit scary at the start, Phee and I freaked out a bit of the start as it takes a while to get used to breathing under water
When we were down on the reef and around 20m deep, it was amazing. It was like being in the matrix, everything looks bigger and goes really slow. It was like having an underwater classroom, we saw so many amazing things as well. One day we saw a pack of thirty dolphins, which was great however they are impossible to keep up with, but the sound wicked under the water. Also the most exciting thing we saw was a whale shark, it was only from the boat, but it was massive, around 20m. I honestly cant really explain how amazing it was or how much fun Utila is, so you may all have to go and try it yourself.
OK well thats it for Honduras, I am in Nicaragua at the moment, so I will have more for you all shortly.
OK love to you all and keep smiling!!!
