Hey Guys,

How are you all? I am good however I am currently in a war zone in La Paz, protests have broken out everywhere and the police are also everywhere. Its pretty full on, however we are leaving tonight, so all is well. The buses have also gone on strike here so it has been a fair mission getting out. Well I have been busy since Machu Picchu, firstly I have been to a home stay on Lake Titiaca, with a local family, additionally we visited the floating islands. This was great fun, Laura and I stayed with the same family, they had little children which was great, we played soccer and hide and seek with them all day. They were so cute!! That night our family dressed us up in traditional clothes and took as to a local dance, this was awesome, it was so good to be absorbed in the local culture.

As I said before we are currently in La Paz, on Saturday we did the death road bike ride ´The Worlds Most Dangerous Bike Ride´. It was wicked, probably one of the funniest things I have done all trip. We rode for 73km, through the most amazing views. It was pretty scary the rode literally drops straight off the cliff, however adrenerlin really kicks in and you are just so absorbed by the views you dont really think about the dangers. It was a long day but so rewarding. Have a look at the pics and you will be able to see for yourself. I nearly got hit by a truck at one point, I over took one and then there was another truck coming the other way, I skidded just in front of it and came pretty close to the edge. was pretty scared after that, I can tell you!! Also when you where riding you could see crosses on the side of the road, where people had obviously gone off, that made you kind of think. Anyway it was awesome.

Heading to Argentina in the next few days, which will be good. Anyway love you all and hope all is well!!!!!

Love always and forever Abbie
