Hello all,
After 20 hours of continuous travel, we finally made it to Kyoto, Japan. I had the pleasure of sleeping through the 11 hour flight which made the trip fairly pleasant (Andy would say otherwise with only 1 to 2 hours of sleep...). After we landed in Narita, we decided to take a 4 hour train ride to Kyoto. It sounded like a smart move at the time, land and keep traveling, but we arrived late in Kyoto to find most hotels closed or full. After walking around with little sleep in a completely foreign place for over an hour we finally found a hotel to sleep in. Needless to say we crashed and woke up to a hot and humid bustling city.... We took today to explore the city by foot. We ended up moving into a traditional Japanese Ryokan to sleep to experience the culture. Our room has one mattress pad on the floor and a ceiling light, quite luxurious...... We are in awe of the differences in culture here and the lack of English, man is it hard to get around and who knows what we are exactly eating. Despite all of these differences and difficulties we are enjoying ourselves and are looking forward to our next day of travel. Hope you are all well back in the US!!!

Hey
Thank god for world domination by Starbucks. You guys have fun...we are so jealous. Oh and Andy, I hope by the end of the 92 days that you will get some color!

Wow.
Great idea on the blog and sorry we missed your wedding. Have long wanted to visit Japan so I am living vicariously through your travels and anxiously await the next entry....i will thankfully note Starbucks' international presence.
What's up Addison
Dude, I wish those guys with trashbags and chopsticks would take a stroll down Michael Lane.
Congrats on your nuptials and sorry to have missed your send off party, would have been good to catch up before your travels. I know we talked about it, but you will have a great time - as you know, spend now save later. Jealous and envious - absolutely. Glad to see you guys are taking the time to do it, would love to have the chance again.
Be safe,
Lynch

Ahso Mr and Mrs Arturi-san. Nice to see you arrived safely in the land of the rising sun. We returned uneventfully from the bliss of your wedding. Reality bites. Watch out for the blowfish and enjoy some saki for us!
Love,
Bill & Teresa
AWESOME
I am so jealous. Sounds like you guys will have to learn another language or how to get back home in a hurry. Sorry we missed the festivities. How does it feel to be legal?
