We only stayed one night here and when we first arrived we thought we might be sleeping on a park bench.  The owner of the B&B "The Orange Tabby" was not in when we called, and the only alternative seemed to be the seedy backpackers, run by a leering drunk guy who showed us the "room" that was basically a hole with a stained mattress.  Fortunately the B&B owner came back, and it was a great experience - complementary wine, bathrobes, dvd library and the poor guy even got up at 5am to make a great breakfast.

We caught the Inside passage (ooh Matron) ferry up the coast to Prince Rupert - a 15 hour trip.  Wow.  Great scenery (when the fog finally cleared), and saw Orca, Whales and Dolphins.  Not that you could tell from the photos.  Ah well!  Finally arrived at Prince Rupert and got a shuttle to our hostel with a couple of Scottish girls and a nice Aussie guy called Danny.
