So I have hit the halfway point of my adventure and is time to leave Italy and say hello to Prague. Today is more traveling and getting acclimated with my new surroundings so I haven't gotten to see too many sights today.  The plane travel was interesting to say the least. A bit like going to the zoo. I am not sure what school in Italy was traveling on our flight but they had over 80%25 of the seats and the teenagers were acting like animals. There were a half dozen or so Americans on the flight and we were all a little nervous by their behavior. The all were standing and moving about the cabin the entire flight, screaming and being rambunctious, and were just plain inconsiderate of every other passenger on the flight. ......and I was told that Americans were bad.

After landing safely in Prague, it took me a bit to get to my new "home". With only a short amount of time on the ground, I can already tell my stay here is going to be quite different than of Italy. So far even those that speak English are extremely hard to understand through the thick accents so I will probably need to venture to tourist country in order to have a meaningful conversation. Also it is great to see all the new architecture and people that are a great bit different than my previous stay in Italy. They have a bit of a fascination with clocks here and am guessing I will find out more about that tomorrow.

Since I hadn't eaten since breakfast, my first stop after leaving my bag is food. I find this great local pub down the road and order their local beer (Lobkowicz). Strong but tasty, I order a meal as well. I decided on a chicken and prawn kabob in a curry sauce. It was VERY good but I must admit I was skeptical of the menu and ordered a side of fries just in case. Since I really couldn't speak to anyone at this local spot, I figured I would venture to find another pub to meet people out on this lovely Friday night. After happening on another pub, I met this interesting woman named Ane (Ana) from Moscow that has been living in Prague for 2 years. Her English was hard to understand at times but was good enough to converse over a few pints of a local beer and plan to go for a bike ride later in the week if weather permits. As it nears midnight and the traveling catching up, I have decided to call it a night so I can have a full day to see all the new sights tomorrow.

One great thing about where I am staying apart from the great room is I have a very unique landmark nearby to find my way in case I get lost. Quite the unique tv tower don't you think.?
