Almost a year ago Vera and I purchased tickets to Sea World's Aquatica water park (http://aquaticabyseaworld.com). Our visit was postponed due to the children being sick, my work travel schedule, and so on. But now we finally did it. We drove up on Friday night to Orlando and stayed two nights at the Parc Corniche (http://parccorniche.com/) where we were able to book a two bedroom suite for just $89 per night. On one of the tv stations they were having a Stephen King marathon, so Jennifer and Rebecca stayed up with me watching Cujo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cujo) and The Shining (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shining_(film). The next day the only thing that Jennifer could say was "REDRUM, REDRUM" - lol.

On Saturday morning we got an early start and filled up our breakfast bellies at Denny's (www.dennys.com). Unfortunately the day ended up being a little colder than we all had liked. Had the skies not remained overcast and were the winds not blowing so hard this day then the day would have been perfect. On the few occasions that the sun was able to creep through the clouds it was perfect weather conditions.

The park was allot of fun. They had a good selection of water slides, rivers and pools. While the girls preferred the Dolphin Plunge the most, Christopher enjoyed the wave pools (Cutback Cove and Big Surf Shores), the lazy rivers (Loggerhead Lane and Roa's Rapids). Vera and I enjoyed it all, although Vera was not happy with the weather we had. The last time I visited a water park in Orlando was at least 11 years ago at Disney's Blizzard Beach (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/blizzard-beach/), which as I recall was a great experience.

After an eight hour day at the water park we headed back to the hotel, showered, and were then off to have dinner at TGI Friday's (http://www.tgifridays.com) with my cousin Maureen and her husband A.J., and their daughter Jossy and husband Ryan plus kids. In total we were 13 of which 7 were kids, but we survived.

We slept in on Sunday till 8am ...... yes 8am ..... remember we have 4 kids! After another belly filling breakfast we hit the road and stopped in at grandma and grandpas for lunch before getting back home in the early evening.

That was a fun weekend. May it get repeated again soon.
