We had another weekend getaway to Orlando planned, but sometimes things do not always go as planned. We did make it as planned to Orlando, but we had a few dissapointments. First of all Vera and her two beautiful girls (Jennifer and Melanie) were not able to make it with us  :o(  and then we were supposed to hang-out with Rodney and family and his sister Gabby and her two kids, but we never did so as we all made separate plans. Oh well; there is always next time.

Rebecca, Chris and I left Miami around 4pm on Friday and we met up with Rusty, Belen and Hubert on the Turnpike where we ended up having dinner at a Chicken Kitchen (http://www.chickenkitchen.com/#home) at the Canoe Creek service plaza. We made it to the Fountains Resort hotel (http://www.bluegreenonline.com/explore/resortDetail.aspx?ResortID=14) around 8pm. All rooms offered at this resort are 2/2 apartments. Very comfy and well maintained place. The kids LOVE the main pool, which offers two tube water slides (check out the videos I included).

Before hitting the sack we stopped in and said hello to Aunt Glenda, Ingrid, Alexandra, Mimi, Patrick and Kyra who were two doors down from us.

On Saturday our Arubian clan went to Disney, where Rodney and family were also at. We decided to do something different for a change, and so we ended up at the Fun Spot (http://www.funspot.tutengraphics.com/). The park offers two multi level go kart racing tracks, bumper cars, bumper boats, an arcade, and several other fun rides. We all enjoyed the go-karts the best, but Rebecca (to my amazement) LOVED the swing ride that skyrocketed to 200 feet. I personally had to stay focused on it because the height got to me. Belen felt as if she was going to pass out on it, and Rebecca ......... she LOVED it !!! Christopher wanted so bad to go on this ride, but the height restriction they had in place prevented him from going on it. He was not happy about this, but he took it well. We spent close to 4 hours there.

We stopped for lunch at the worlds largest McDonalds (http://www.mcfun.com/restaurants/view/7). This place was huge (for a McDonalds). In addition to the regular crappy menu they also offered pasta dishes, deli sandwhiches, and pizzas. A huge arcade, play zone and a two lane mini bowling alley was also housed in this restaurant; quite amazing (for a McDonalds). Christopher taught me a new way to dry your hair while we were here (check out my video clips to see how - lol).

After lunch we headed back to the resort where we had some pool fun. In the evening Rebecca, Christopher and I joined Mimi and Ingrid (with families) to Downtown Disney (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/destinations/downtown-disney/).

The next morning as we were ready to depart and head back to Miami we saw Rodney for the first time; he was packing his van. So at least we did get to see him even it it was only for 5 minutes - lol. As we always like to do we stopped in at grandma and grandpas place for lunch  :o)

Another fun weekend with new adventures is now behind us, but the memories will last forever.
