Day 21:
This turned out to be our final day. Yes, believe it or not we rode 1192 miles today. We started our day off in Aberdeen, Maryland, at 2:15am and ended the day back at Rusty's place 10:50pm. 1192 MILES - wow !!!
We got an early start and while there were showers forecasted we finally had a completely rain free day. At 6:30am we stopped for breakfast at a Denny's in North Carolina, and then we stopped for lunch in Georgia around 1pm. From North Carolina southbound till around Cocoa Beach the heat was horrible (95 degrees +/-) - I was actually hoping for a shower at this point.
Although we started getting tired around Daytona Beach we decided to push on and make it home. We stopped over in Boynton Beach (http://www.boynton-beach.org/) to say "hi" to mom and dad. They were relieved to see us making it home safe and sound. We stayed from 9pm to 9:40pm and then were on the road for the final time (of this ride) making it to Rusty's place at 10:50pm.
Again ( I have to repeat for myself) we rode a grand total of 1192 miles today. I am in no rush to repeat or exceed that mileage anytime soon.
And the grand total of miles that this entire ride has taken us is .............. 11542 miles. That is approximattely 1500 miles less than I had estimated.
Well friends that will wrap things up for this blog. We did it. We should now each be receiving a piece of paper from the Southern California Motorcycle Association that will say something like "This person was stupid enough to ride around the continental US in 18 days". Ha ha ha .... well the bottom line is that this trip will be one to remember, but you know I may just be willing to do it again one day.
I am glad that I was able to do this ride with my brother, Rusty. Thanks bro for taking the time to share these 3 weeks on the road. Now lets start planning the next ride(s) !!!!!!! :o)

Congrats - What a ride!
Great blog, I enjoyed reading every day/entry. What an adventure, truly a once in a lifetime experience. I am happy Rusty and you did it and wish I could have joined you.
Hopefully I will see you guys again in CA for the Four Corners Dinner.
