I thought this day trip deserved its own entry, plus is gets more pins on my map :)

I woke early and excited on Wednesday morning to make my way over the Haggis adventures to set off on my day trip up the famous Loch Ness. We made our way out of Edinburgh and headed north with a few rest, photo and food stops along the way. One included a photo opportunity of the world famous Highland cattle (this one has it's own wewbsite I am told) and I was also informed by our tour guide that this cattle is the second most expensive steak in the world behind the Japanese cattle. We continued our way up into the Highland country and it is easy to see why people fall in love with this place so easily. Breathtaking hills, stunning snow capped peaks and the cleanest air you will ever experience. I got some great shots (or at least I hope I did) on our way up to Loch Ness and arrived these just after lunch. The weather had been amazing and I was very fortunate however Loch Ness has a climate of its own. High winds through the valley mean no matter how sunny, you are still going to experience a new kind of cold. I did the 1 hr cruise around the Loch and then it was unfortunately time to jump back on the bus and head back to Edinburgh. We took a different route back and continued to learn more about Scotlands long, interesting but overall bloody history. We arrived back in Edinburgh at around 1930, a long but amazing day.

Hope you enjoy the pics half as much as I enjoyed taking them in this amazing area of the world.

Good Morning / Good afternoon / Good evening
