Two days ago,  a friend from Germany came to visit. We already raveld together in Cuba last year for some time. He works in Saudi now, so he decided to make a weekend trip here. The last two days, we spent in Petra and Baida, rushing through the usual tourist program. Yesterday we went to camp in Wadi Araba desert, also a must while here. Especially nice now since the moon is almost full - you can see at night almost as much as during the day, only with different colors.
Today, we got up early and visited the remains of Shobak castle, which was build by the crusaders. Unlike the bigger and well-preserved castle of Kerak, there is no entrance fee here - and less visitors. There are some walls and stuff left, not to much, but what is worth seeing is the tunnel system leading deep into the mountain. It is easy to get lost down there in the dark, so everyone going in has to sign up in a list - if you don't come out in the evening, they come looking for you.
