Am I glad we made the trip yesterday. It bucketed down with rain last night and it is "Scotch Mist" like today with the odd heavier shower. When Curt arrived we collectively agreed it was too miserable for a weekend on the boat so after lunch we drove home. Curt stayed for dinner - sort of an early birthday celebration as all of our birthdays are during the week. Just as he left and we were closing the garage we heard a huge bang and discovered a cable of the door had broken so the door fell without any resistance. Luckily nobody was hurt but it was quite the "welcome" home.

Thanks to the vigilant efforts of our neighbours the house was in great shape though we had to crank up the furnace to take the chill off. Thanks Irma and Vaheh.

We were blessed with an uneventful (in the bad way) trip and have returned safe and sound with a great boat and enriched by yet another travel experience.

Welcome home - thanks for sharing a fabulous journey. We have enjoyed it immensely, as armchair boaters - a beloved term that we learned exactly 10 yrs ago. See you in Paragon.......
