Where I stayed
Today was kind of a down day as we realized that it wouldn't be smart to buy the Bayliner 3988 we saw and loved yesterday. The value of the Canadian dollar just makes a purchase like that too much to swallow.
Richard decided to golf and I wandered over to the Ringling Museum of Art which is only a block away from our hotel. Even though I'd read about the property I really had no idea what I was in for. General admission includes entry to the Museum of Art, two circus museums and the Ca d'Zan mansion, home of John and Mable Ringling. I enjoyed wandering the grounds and exploring Mable's Rose Garden, the Secret Garden and the Millenium Tree Trail. I only saw the ground floor of the mansion but liked it better than the Vizcaya mansion in Miami. I really had forgotten how much went on at the circus and these museums were a wonderful reminder of what life was like before Cirque de Soleil.
Sadly Richard's day was not as good on the golf course but we reconvened at the pool (temperatures have returned to the 70s) and had another take out dinner from Café du Monde across the street. Tomorrow we leave for points north and maybe a Jays spring training game in Dunedin.
