We had a bit of a leaisurely start to the morning and caught the 9am train out to Kutna Hora, about an hour away from Prague. The draw here is the bone church,, the Ossuary in Sedlic. Work began on this church back at the beginning of the 14th century, but was reconstructed in its present form in 1784. It is said to contain the bones of approximately 40,000 people - there were approximately 30,000 people buried here after the plague in 1318, and many more after the Hussite Wars. The chandelier in the centre is said to contain at least one of every bone in the human body. It would have been creepy to be there alone at nigh, but on a sunny day with lots of other tourists, not so much. It was definitely worth the visit though.

We were going to catch the next train back to Prague, but decided to stay and head into the little town. There was some sort of festival going on the town square with live music and BBQs. We grabbed a bite to eat and then set out for St. Barbara's Cathedral which was absolutely beautiful. There were statues all along the road leading to the cathedral, and the cathedral itself was amazing. It almost looks like a castle with three huge peaks on the roof. Inside is just as beautiful with stained glass all around the outside. The only unfortunate thing is that we were rushing to make our train (which only departs every two hours) so we were really rushing. And the really unfortunate thing - we missed that train! So we did the only reasonable thing: found a cafe with wi-fi and dessert and waited for the next train back to Prauge.

Once we were back in the city we found my dad and we outfor dinner to the Bakeshop (again) for quiche, which was just as good the second time! After that we walked a bit more, but I was pretty ruined from this cold so we went back to the apartments to get ready for our early morning departure to Teplice nad Metuji.
