In summary in case u dont want to read the full story - - -

I would NOT stay at this hotel again, and i certainly won't recommend it to my friends or family. When you book a room they require a 50% deposit, which incurs a fee when you pay at the bank, so although the room is 950php its then 36php more expensive, 986php. Then they require a scanned copy of the receipt to prove you have paid . . . . . . gosh its a pain ! . . . . There is NO Wifi in the rooms, you need your own transport, or a taxi every where and no evelvator. . . . I didnt find the staff i came across very intersted in working . . . . Stay at the Alba Uno, in Apas, its two minutes walk to the Asia IT Park, the staff are friendly and want to make your say pleasurable. You don't have to jump through hoops to get a room, every room has high speed internet, there is an elevator, and a great little cafe if you cant be bothered to go out, where the chef, will cook the dishes with great enthusiasm or just be happy to make u coffee !!

In Cebu I have my favourite Hotel, The Alba Uno, however wanted to try a new place, and if i liked it book some rooms for next year, when I have various friends and relations planning to visit for my wedding. The plan was to stay two days in a Superior room, then move onto the Alba Uno, which had already been booked. Unfortunately TS Sendong decided to arrive in Dumaguete on the Saturday morning, causing power outages, flash floods and deaths. My house flooded and i had to therefore cancel my Saturday arrival in the San Remigio Pensionne Suites hotel. In order to do this i had to leave my fiancee cleaning the water damage and find an internet cafe, which still had power. So at approximately 1330hrs i sent an email to inform them that we would be unable to arrive and returned home and continued cleaning. By the late evening, we had finished and decided that we still should go to Cebu for the planned research visit.

Early on the Sunday morning, we went to catch the Sibulan Maayo RORO, however when we arrived in Sibulan, we found the ferry sunk at the quayside. So we then headed for the Tampi Maayo RORO. After a fairly uneventful ride to Cebu, we arrived at the San Remigio Pensionne Suites, and was greeted by an enthusiastic security guard. We parked the bike, tired, hot and exhausted from our ride. The front desk girl seemed a little annoyed that she had to stop chatting to a gentlemen worker, and i explained that i had booked however was unable to arrive as planned due to no ferries sailing, and TS Sendong. I had sent an email at my earliest opportunity. She looked a little unconfident and then called another front desk girl. She then explained that i would have to pay the full amount even though i had used the room. Tired, hot and now extremely annoyed i was instantly annoyed. I told my gf that we were leaving, i was not paying for something i had not used. The front desk girl then called a manager, who told me i was to pay 190php, for not arriving, which i found extremely annoying. Needless to say the room was very nice, and well appointed, however the location of the hotel is in the middle of no where is that's possible in the middle of a city. I certainly wouldn't feel safe walking there alone at night time, as the area is not one of Cebu's most friendliest, although that's my personal opinion. Also when we arrived back at night time, we asked for the room key and the girl gave us the wrong one, which we didnt notice until we arrived at the room, and with no elevator it was another hot and humid walk back to the front desk......
