My fiancee and I stayed at Apartelle De Arcenas for three months. Whilst the accomodation, location and general place was very good if not EXCELLENT !! However we didn't like the way the electricity bill, seemed to be incorrect. Regardless whether we used A/C or not the bill was always seemed to increase. In the first month when I used the A/C continuously we had the lowest bill, however in the subsequent months, the bills got higher even although i no longer used the A/C anymore, The final month when the apartment was empty for 9days, was the highest bill of all !
The internet connection was awful, so much so, that in the end i bit the bullet and brought a Globe and Smart 3g dongle and wasted yet more money. Thirdly and lastly, the parking. Because i own a bike i was told by the over zealous guard to move my bike, and park it under the bird toilets, as opposed to parking in the vacant slot in front of my apartment.
Over all the apartment rental was 18000php, but the hidden extras, water, 380php and 700php of gas that is the price of a full bottle every month, 600php on internet connections for the times the free wifi is down, add to that the electricity bill, all in all, the rent is actually 21000php minimum for the apartment advertised as 18000php. If you don't have money concerns this really is the place to live, free Billiards, table tennis, badminton, if only it had a pool !!
However, if you like to watch your pesos and don't like to waste them, there are plenty of cheaper alternatives.
