Casa Gorordo Ancestral house. – 22/03/11
Location - 35 Lopez Jaena Street, Cebu City
Certainly not a girly stone's throw away, but maybe an olympic champion javelin throwers distance away is the Casa Gorordo Ancestral house. Built in the early 1900’s the house was a home to Spanish Merchants and the first Filipino bishop of Cebu. Rightly so the entry fee was higher for me, 70php and 30php for a local, whilst i argued i felt like a local i had to pay 100php entry. However, the Philippines is full of examples of the world gone mad. You are not allowed to take pictures inside, now i can understand that u are not allowed to use flash however, no photographs c’mon oi ? Overall the place is interesting, is well laid out, clean and tidy but the Yap Sandiego wins hands down for me. The crazy thing is you can’t take pics inside but its ok from the outside through the window.
Opening Times - Tuesday - Sunday 10am - 6pm
Closed Mondays and Holidays
