Lake Balanan, lays some 100kms (ish) south  of Dumaguete. Its a lake created after an earthquake in 1925, blocking the route of a naturally occuring stream. It has been developed into a toruist site...and in my opinon is better than twin lakes. However twin lakes is higher and therefor more tropical feeling.......so its a fifty fifty battle...
See the pics and see what u think, 50php entry and then, 120php fuel to get there, bottle of gatorade, 50php not bad for a whole days entertainment....
