From Varanasi we took an overnight train to Agra. Not the most comfortable night sleep. We arrived early morning to face the usual train station chaos, tuk tuk drivers haggling for business. After managing to push our way onto the main street we desperately tried to find a taxi, given the cold. No luck! We and our two bags squeezed into a tuk tuk for the 10 minute ride to our hotel. We checked in and decided that we would visit the Taj at sunset and risk the large number of tourists. For the rest of the day, we hopped on and off our hired tuk tuk to visit the Baby Taj and the gardens before heading to the Taj. Needless to say, the Taj was spectacular. We spent the evening sitting on a bench and simply staring at it while the sun set. For dinner we headed to the Sheraton for over-priced club sandwiches and pizza. The food was a perfect complement to the pretty sad 5 minute puppet show with Rajasthani dolls we watched on the pool deck in the freezing cold. On our way back to the hotel, we only had to "fight" off 10 tuk tuk drivers, which wasn't so bad.
