Our first day/night of real partying in Lima began with my cousinīs 26th bday celebration which was on Monday the 24th. Phil and I went over to my cousinīs friendīs house who was having a few friends over to help her celebrate her bday. The day was filled with tanning and swimming in the pool and some drinks ( pisco sour n various deliscious tropical flavours!). Phil really picked up some nice colour by the end of the day. We had a cake and then chatted and drank some more pisco before heading back to my cousinīs house to shower & change.

That night we were invited to a private party held at another of her friends whose parents own a poshy top end restaurant in Miraflores named Las Brujas del Cachiche (http://www.brujasdecachiche.com.pe/ibien.html), we didnīt get a chance to try the main dishes since the party was held in one of the restaurantīs `lounges` on the second floor. All hors dīoeuvres & drinks were complimentary!!! The drinks as were the appetizers amazing! Some o the most exotic tasting pisco sourīs. Supposedly the resto is known for them, it included mango flavoured liquor drinks and some liquor laced milkshake meets frozen yoghourt simple devine! They were so good even Phil, who isnīt into what I would call girly drinks, enjoyed them. They were so god he didnīt even want to try the whiskey shots they were offering. (I donīt blame him!). The night ended early with another cake. I got a ride back to my grannyīs with one of my cousinīs friends who lives close by. I also ran into a girl I used to hang out with when I still lived in Peru and we promised to trade emails and MSN to keep in touch once Iīd go back.

Sunday my granny took us to my great-auntīs house for another bbq & swimming day. I t was also a beautiful cloudless very hot day. That evening we went to the indian market to pick up all our remaining souvenirs plus some goodies for ourselves and then we headed to the mall next to the coast where we observed a beautiful sunset over the coast and had some pizza from pizza hut (we were dying for some fast food! after all this great healthy food or 5 weeks we needed some good olīgreasy stuff), it was neat, I had a pizza combo that came with a beer haha! I love this country! Pizza & er bought over the counter at a pizza hut stand in a mall!

After dinner we went to the movies, I bought us some popcorn and realized they hadnīt put any butter on them so I went back to complain only to find out that they donīt put butter on popcorn around here! They donīt even have the butter machines, they gave me a funny look when I acted surprised that there wasnīt any. No wonder everyone is thin around here! Anyhoo we saw Alexander, it wasnīt a bad movie but Iīm glad Phil payed for us both. I thought it was a little too long (3 hours) and there was too much gay make out sessions. Really took away from the whole plot.
