What a big day !!
Segway tour all morning, awesome and fun tour, would highly recommend it, then 5 km walk back to the Louvre museum(needed the exercise) with a stop along the way to see Diana's flame, it is an exact replica of Statue of Liberty flame but since its sits above the tunnel where Princess Diana died, it is now named Diana's flame !!
Spent a couple of hours at the Louvre but will return tomorrow to see more, it is so very huge!! the Louvre that is !!
Rest stop in hotel then will hit the town at night to see the attractions lit up in lights.
Au revoir
Bruce's snippet: if you want instructions on Segways i found this site:
http://segwayqueensland.com.au/support/manuals-guides.php
the manuals download, couldn't get the safety video to download though
BIG TIME SAVER: don't tell anyone. Most tourists go to the big glass pyramid and wait up to 4 hrs to get into the Louvre- this is totally unnecessary, but the tourist info people do not tell you the secret entrance the locals use. Either side of the small replica of the arc de triumph are stair cases that go underground. There is a big shopping mall, McDonalds etc down there. There is a TABAC store where you buy the Louvre tickets, this gives you priority and you just go through the entrance underground in the mall- no waiting! but shhhhhhhh! its our secret.
