Had a lovely breakfast of a warm croissant with jam , Brucey had a bread roll with salami and cheese and then hit the road to Pisa, a 120km trip !!

We got very lost on the way but finally got there and surprisingly found a park 2km away from the tower !! It sounds far but in Italy any parking spot is a good park !! a rare thing apparently.
 ,
So had a lovely lunch of pesto lasagna overlooking the leaning tower and as lazy as we are got a taxi back to our car. The taxi driver (a good looking Italian man) wants to immigrate to Australia but unfortunately has been refused a permanent visa as he does not have appropriate skills, so he is looking for an Aussie wife !!

So we hit the road again and headed to Lovorno (where the recent cruise ship ran aground off the coast) a pretty coastal town very much like St Kilda and followed the coast road (similar to Great Ocean Rd) in the hope of heading back to Tuscany, WRONG !! got very very lost again !! bit the bullet and stopped into a town along the way home and bought a GPS device ! We will so need this for our wine trip through France and Spain.

So after 8 hrs on the road we finally got home to a late happy hour of a lovely white (bianca) 2011 Umbrian made with Grechetto and Chardonnay grapes, a pleasant dry wine that went very well with my home made pasta !! yes I cooked for the first time in nearly 2 wks !!

Quiet day tomorrow, relaxing in our nearest village town of San Donato, may do a wine tasting or two !!
