Where I stayed
regent seven seas voyager..on the high seas somewhere
Well..it is day 1 on the high seas and I must confess I am green around the gills. I am hoping my sea legs find me soon. We are cruising fast trying to make up for lost time due to our 7 hour delay last night. Word on the deck is that there was a dock worker strike just before we were due to set sail. I have no idea whether that is really true...simply having overheard a passenger make that remark.
I did not sleep at all last night. The rocking of the ship should have put me right to sleep, but no such luck. So, I got up early and went to the gym to work out. I was so proud of myself. However, after a few chest presses and some dead lifts, I was half way into lunges when I realized that I was quite seasick and the workout would have to wait. So, I headed topside for some fresh air and, bundled up in towels, snoozed on a chaize lounge for a bit.
Not much to report now. It is a lazy day at sea and I am simply waiting for the weather to warm up and to get used to the rocking and rolling of the ship. I think I will head back to the pool for fresh air. Until next time...
