Remember Beddie’s busted water heater that I glued back together yesterday.
Well it doesn’t work.
The problem I discover is that I’ve glued it back together rather than soldering it. This means that the electrical circuit which is completed by the flame itself has been broken and this in turn makes the thing thinks it’s gone out so it switches the gas off.
Very safe but highly inconvenient.
Curses.
I shall try again. In the meantime bathtimes have been temporarily relocated to the kitchen sink.

What do you expect from a software engineer? You need a real engineer, i.e. a hardware engineer ;-)
It'll be fine. I just need a bigger hammer.
