One of the joys of coming to Sydney for us was the opportunity to meet up with our friend Danny, from Scotland; although, Danny is Australian, not Scottish. He immigrated to Scotland at the same time I did. Actually, our Visas are pretty much identical :) However, I chose to leave the UK when my VISA expired, he's staying on. It was nice to see Danny on his 'home turf' and we were able to meet some of his family and a few of his friends. He chose to show us all the best places! From coffee shops on Oxford Street, to shopping at Bondi Beach, lunch at Doyle's...we saw it all! Doyle's is a very famous seafood restaurant that's been in Sydney for like 130 years or something. The boys made the most of it by taking advantage of the free 2nd portion of fish and trying breem, baramundi and snapper.

We took a lovely walk along Gap cliffs where we remarked at all the suicide attempts that happen there and all they are doing to eliminate them. It does dampen the view a bit when every few feet there is another sign with a number to call for help or an extra high fence with signs telling you not to jump, but it was nice all the same.

We played around in Luna Park for awhile, walked under the Harbourfront Bridge and took a tour through Kings Cross. Whao!  Sydney in a few hours! We're not used to travelling so fast!
But in the evening we had a nice time meeting some of Danny's friends and having a nice dinner and conversation together. After that, we took the ferry from Manly back to Circular Quay and crashed.

The next day we only had a bit of time before Danny flew back to the UK. He showed us one of his old haunts (a favourite pub) and we had a great meal before saying goodbye. Miss you, Buddy!
