Mani Beach Campground
Now I’m a cat lover and cat owner, but enough is enough! At every campground there has not been just one or two bathing in the sun and rubbing your legs, but a minimum of 6-8! All they do is relentlessly ‘mew’ and beg for food while you’re cooking!
One campground, the cats likes us soo much, that one of the males decided to ‘mark’ our tent as his. How sweet. We’ve been having a hard enough time not stinking after 5 months on the road. The addition of cat pee makes a lovely aroma.

Last night Brian woke up, and through the dim filtered light from other buildings could see a little curled up shadow of a cat - on the top of our tent! A perfect little kitty hammock with the warmth from us below and the protection of the fly above. Perfect. Right down to the precious little claw holes lining the side of our tent now. Who expected to need cat-proof gear?
And it’s not just at the campground either! Cats are in the streets and perched on fences wherever we go. Every restaurant we eat at has at least 2 or 3 begging for food. They’re even in unexpected places too.
