Another beautiful day of cycling.  Not quite sure what I’ll do when the weather changes, I’ve been so spoiled with beautifully sunny days each and every day.

Cycled through quite a few ‘petit cite du character’ today.  Tiny little villages with fabulous old churches or other buildings.  Narrow streets with what seems to not be a soul about.  Until the noon day bells start to chime.  That means lunchtime and everyone emerges!  Every town has it’s own clock tower which regularly doles out the hours (and , , and hours) of the day.

Today we stopped in a beautiful little park outside the clock tower for lunch and were lucky enough to be there for the noon time treat.  Not just 12 bells, there was about 10 minutes of different songs and other tunes being played out.  We sat and enjoyed our cheese (of course), but had cassis instead of wine for a change.  We also had a little friend - a feral cat decided to come and play around my bike.

Stopped a little early of our goal this evening as there was a campground on route.  Not having any reference as to what may lie ahead makes things a bit more complicated.  Every night is a bit of a gamble of:  do we stop now or do we risk it?  Some tourist information booths have been helpful (when they’re open), but they usually are not.  We’ve also been cycling almost through the various regions about 1 a day.  So if I do stop for information it’s only for the one day and will not help us in planning the next as we’ll be out of the region…Had a little marital spat with Brian the other day about how routine our lives have become - LOL.
