Today was the day.  The day I'd been waiting for.  The day I finally got to see Glencoe!

This is a beautiful mountainous area of the highlands.  But before you get to it, you go through some vast expanses of barren moors with far off hills in the background.  Awesome landscapes complete with your very own pipers playing in picturesque vistas (for a small fee).  So there was an audio soundtrack to go with the visual!  All they needed to do was add in a highland cow, and a snack stand selling haggis and there'd be no reason to go anywhere else!  How do you know you're in Scotland?  There's always bagpipes playing :)

Joking aside, it was awe inspiring.  I was very happy to be there and be able to cycle through it (leg was quite a bit better today).  Looking around at the expanse and the quiet.  Imagining the battles that had been fought, with crazy Scotsman charging down the hills.  You know the feeling you get driving through the mountains and you think it can't get any more beautiful.  But then, you park in a pull off and get out.  Now it's the feeling of:  "Ahhhh!".  No more barrier between you and the beauty.  You are now a part of it.  That's how I felt the entire time cycling through the majesty.

Things were going quite well so we continued traveling around the coast down where we had another Monty Python surprise:  Castle Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh came into view.  We had no idea at all that it was along our route, so it was a fun surprise.  And very picturesque out on it's own little island.  When Brian saw castles in Ireland it always made him play scenes from Monty Python in his head.  No now he's been able to see 2 of the actual castles!
