Our last stop in Bolivia was Copacabana, right on the huge and glistening Lake Titicaca. So close to Peru now we were determined to find some Inca ruins, which kept us busy the first two days. The walks along the lake and through the countryside were nice but we didn't spot any ancient stones.
On the third day we decided to go to La Isla del Sol, the birthplace of the sun for the Incas; finally some Inca history. Here we were not disappointed, a beautiful, sunny quiet island and finally some Inca relics: a temple, a ceremonial table and the feeling of Indiana Jones exploring ancient cultures. The feeling of Indiana Jones kind of turned into the feeling of an exhausted chicken after the 7km walk from the North to the South of the Island. It was a great day trip.
Today we are off to our LAST country. Peru here we come.
