I didn't know if I would say that on this trip but I have actually warmed a little to India. Pushkar would have been more enjoyable if I hadn't been so sick but at least I recovered by the time we got to Udaipur.
Udaipur is a very nice town, at least the old part of it where we are staying. We took it relatively easy here. Apart from a half-day trip around town we checked out the many souvenir shops, took the cable car for a nice view over the city or chilled out on the rooftop with a beer.
Local people were very friendly and the many lakes and lit up castles at night explain the town's "romantic" reputation. We really had a good time.
My personal highlight was at lunch today when Jack was served half a Popadom with his tahi. I had been looking everywhere for my favourite Indian snack but never had any luck. And then there it was, what a nice surprise. Jack shared generously with me. It was delicious.
