Arrived in Puerto Piramides about 4.30pm 28th November after stopping at the visitor centre for Peninsula Valdes on the way in. Another bizarre experience as just as we were leaving, a man walked across the car park toward us from his car which was parked on the road to say he needed tyre pump as he had a flat tyre (this was in Spanish, we are definately getting better, although the international sign language helps!), so we pumped up the tyre with the pump we have that runs off the bike battery. This was definately done in South American style which was just pump the tyre until it doesnīt look flat again, not worrying about what pressure it should be. They were very grateful and gave us what I think is a whale bone in return!

Camped up then headed to the tour operators to try to get on a watch watching boat trip, they are running but the there is only one left for the day at 6pm which as it is the sunset trip is almost double the price, as funds are now running low, we give it a miss and opt to come back in the morning.

Night of the 28th, hardly any sleep due to huge school party at the campsite up most of the night (shocked to see in the morning that they are pretty young, only 10ish but the kids stay up really late here and then sleep in the afternoon, great for them but not ideal for us on the bike we canīt really have a siesta!), also another group of young teenagers next to us who are unable to talk, only shout and on top of that someone decides to start riding their quadbike around the campsite at 1.30am, great.

Hence we sleep in and by the time we get back to the boat tours, the port has been closed due to the wind and nothing is running today :-(
